Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Creative Director Has Been Fired By Ubisoft

Bloomberg has confirmed that Ashraf Ismail, the Creative Director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (as well as Black Flag and Origins) has been fired from the company. The confirmation comes after Ubisoft informed staff of the decision earlier this week.

The statement from Ubisoft reads: “As a result of investigations, Ashraf Ismail has been dismissed from Ubisoft and is no longer an employee”.

This comes following Ismail’s announcement that he’d be stepping down from his position in order to focus on personal issues. These personal issues came following allegations from dozens of people in the games industry stating that Ismail had used his position of power in the gaming industry to pursue relationships outside of his marriage.
