Ever since both the PS5 and Xbox Series X were revealed, the size of both consoles have been definitely a hot talking point.
This became more and more apparent closer to release as we got to see the consoles in the flesh and in various journalist’s houses. There was a genuine concern for whether these consoles (more so the PS5) would fit in entertainment units.
Ikea has created mock versions of both consoles so that you can test out the consoles with the various entertainment units that they have in-store.
The writing on the PS5 reads: “Which IKEA media storage unit will be able to fit my new meme-ishly oversized gaming console”
I must admit, I’m pretty surprised to see this happen so soon. I’ve always seen really old consoles like the GameCube or Wii when visiting Ikea stores, which isn’t exactly helpful.
I’d genuinely love to know the percentage of entertainment units in which these consoles fit and those that they don’t.
