Samsung’s 2022 TV Range Is Out Now And Here’s All The Australian Prices

Samsung has announced that it’s 2022 line of TVs are on sale today, and will start rolling out to Australian retailers both online and in-store over the coming days and weeks.

The 2022 TV line-up is similar to last year, except for the fact that we’re getting both the QN95B and QN90B this year, which means that we now have a 4K TV that has the One Connect box (this was missing last year). As far as we can tell, all of the 8K/4K QLEDs have four HDMI 2.1 ports.

When it comes to the high-end Neo QLED, new Shape Adaptive Light technology is being utilised to make the Mini LED technology show even brighter highlights resulting in a 14-bit HDR image. There’s also a built-in light sensor that can adjust blue light levels based on the time of day.

Samsung Game Bar

In 2021, Samsung introduced the Game Bar which showed things such as your current frame rate as well as whether VRR is turned on/off. This is being taken even further in 2022 with the Gaming Hub. This will bring in services such as Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia, YouTube Gaming and you’d think at some point Xbox Cloud Gaming, and will let you continue playing games right from the home screen without jumping into the app.

The NEO QLED models also have Dolby Atmos out of the box thanks to upwards and side firing speakers. If you’re after more from a sound perspective, there’s new soundbars including the flagship Q990B which is a 11.1.4ch surround sound system as well as an ultra slim soundbar that will retain sound quality but remains aesthetically pleasing.

Another TV that’s worth mentioning is the brand new Samsung Frame. I have last year’s model and it’s one of the best TVs I’ve ever used from an aesthetics point of view and that’s set to go even further this year. The new Frame has an anti matte and anti glare screen which we’re led to believe will help with any glare or reflections.
