THQ Nordic, the publisher behind the recent releases like Destroy All Humans 2! Reprobed and SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, has announced the date for its digital showcase for 2023.
Airing on August 11th (potentially August 12th for us Aussies depending on how timezones shake out), the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase will offer updates on already-announced games as well as reveals of brand new titles. One that many will naturally be looking to is Alone In The Dark, the new original series entry and “love letter” to the classics. We should also get new looks at the create-and-drive oddity, Wreckreation, as well as Gothic, Trine 5 and others.

We got a behind-closed-doors look at Alone in The Dark last year at Gamescom, and came away impressed by what the team at Pieces Interactive is trying to achieve with the new title, saying “I’ve very quickly gone from cautiously curious to a complete believer in Alone in the Dark after hearing it straight from the team at Pieces Interactive just how much thought and care is going into this love letter to the original games. Psychological horror with a gumshoe detective charm and a unique setting is certainly a compelling cocktail. I’m told the final game should be roughly 12 hours long, which to me sounds like the sweet spot for this type of experience.”
