It looks like your days of cloning precious gems in bulk to become the richest twink in Hyrule are over, with Nintendo having just dropped a new update to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that, among other things, reportedly breaks a popular item duplication exploit.
The patch notes for the game’s 1.1.2 update officially provided by Nintendo are slight, simply addressing some audio fixes, a quest issue and then a more general “gameplay experience” improvement.

As pointed out by Twitter user OatmealDome though, the update also seems to have fixed an exploit where players could perform a (fairly simple and quick) series of actions involving fusing items to arrows that resulted in copies of those items being added to players’ inventories.
If you’re someone out there smashing those glitches to boost your riches, you can turn off automatic software updates on your Switch console, but be warned that Eiji Aonuma will know, and personally uninvite you from poker night.
