WB Games and Player First Games are gearing up for the much-anticipated full launch of the free-to-play platform fighter, MultiVersus, on May 28th, and in the lead-up to release they’ve dropped a shiny new Launch Trailer that not only sets the scene for the action ahead but also introduces two exciting new fighters to the roster.
The pre-rendered trailer starts off how you’d expect, with a bunch of WB-owned characters beating each other up for fun, but ends with a team of the “good guys” tracking down recently-announced fighter The Joker, assuming they’ve cornered him, before he reveals that he’s not alone – and summons both Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees and The Matrix’ Agent Smith to the fight. Based on the very end of the video, there are still more character announcements to come, as well.
After having gone dark for a while with the wrap of its open beta, MultiVersus is returning May 28th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC as a full-fledged release with a bevy of gameplay improvements, Unreal Engine 5-powered visuals, new features like a PvE mode, improved netcode, balancing and more.
