Summer Game Fest kicked off this morning for its 2024 run, and with it came a massive number of new game announcements, updates on existing and already-announced titles, some big surprises and some confirmations of previously-leaked reveals.
One of those updates came via a new announcement from Riot Games that Valorant, its popular hero shooter, is finally making its way to consoles. The game will be getting a limited beta on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S starting June 14th.
Interestingly, the game will not feature cross-play between console and PC, a decision made because of the gulf between controller and keyboard/mouse, but the game will reportedly maintain parity between versions with the same content and balance updates. There will be cross-progression and skin purchases between the platforms, though.
