This morning saw a brand-new edition of Geoff Keighley’s annual Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase, kicking off the massive Gamescom show in Cologne, Germany with a couple of hours of new trailers, updates, world premiere announcements and more.
Keighley opened the showcase proper with a teaser for a game that was already all-but-confirmed by its developers in the weeks leading up, but is now officially confirmed – Borderlands 4. Coming from 2K and its recently-acquired Gearbox Software, the teaser shows very little about the game aside from some very destructive-looking planetary events and a robotic arm picking up an iconic Psycho mask from the fiery rubble. So far, the most we know is that it’s set on an all-new planet.
Borderlands 4 is slated for a 2025 release. You can watch the teaser below:
