To celebrate the upcoming release of the Disney Lorcana set Azurite Sea, Disney has given us an exclusive card to reveal.
It’s almost like they knew that The Lion King is my favourite Disney franchise of all time because the card is Scar: Tempestuous Lion, an absolutely gorgeous card that shows Scar looking extra villainous.
It’s an Uninkable card with an Inkwell cost of 6. It’s a pretty decent card for late play as it can both quest for 2 lore, plus to challenge (attack) your opponent, as it’s got the strength (attack) at 4 plus the willpower (defense) at 4, but has the ability that when you attack your opponent with him, he gets an extra 3 attack points making it a total of 7, which can really do a number on majority of opponent cards or locations. With the added advantage of the Rush ability as well, it means you can really come swinging at opponents right out of the gate if you need to take out some opponent cards quickly.
The Azurite Sea set launches in local game stores on November 22nd before launching in other retailers on November 25th. It focuses on a pirate theme as characters from Big Hero 6, Chip and Dale, and a bunch of other characters from the Rescue Rangers join for the first time. There’s two starter decks launching including Ruby/Amber and Sapphire/Emerald, as well as a new Illumineer’s Trove and an epic looking Stitch themed gift set launching later this year as well.
