At Sony’s CES press conference, the President of Crunchyroll took to the stage to announce an anime series based on the Sucker Punch game Ghost of Tsushima is in development.

Produced in partnership with Aniplex, the series is based on the game’s multiplayer mode Legends, sharing a title with the added content released post-launch.

Takanobu Mizuno (who previously directed the Star Wars: Visions episode “The Duel”) is directing the series, which is being produced by the animation studio Kamikaze Douga who also works on Star Wars: Visions and Batman Ninja.

The series is not expected until 2027.

No other details were provided about the upcoming series but no doubt fans of the hit PlayStation exclusive title will be excited by this news!
