Alongside going hands-on with a pre-alpha build of Den of Wolves, 10 Chambers also revealed to us that they’re creating a documentary series about the development of the game. The conversation around the difficulties of game development and the bridge between consumer and developer is one that come’s up often in the current gaming climate. 10 Chambers is looking to demystify the often opaque process of modern game development in one of the rawest, most unfiltered making of documentary in gaming.
The first season of DO THE GAME is comprised of eight 30 minute episodes each one encompassing different parts of the development timeline of Den of Wolves. It follows countless members of the team in all disciplines, not just while they work but also as they go about their personal lives. Based on what was explained to us about the project, it’s seeming to be one of the most comprehensive documentations of a game’s development.
Ulf Andersson, CEO and creative director at 10 Chambers described it as a very raw and unpolished version of people during the processes of game development. The highs, the lows, the difficult meetings, the roadblocks that present themselves right after solving a different problem. These are all things we hear happen in the industry frequently, but very rarely get to see unfold. For a game that’s been in development for as long as Den of Wolves has, there’s a lot of content to get into.
While DO THE GAME doesn’t have a release date yet, you can check out the teaser trailer below.
