This morning, on its social accounts, Remedy Games announced that the upcoming Control Resonant, which acts as a sequel to 2019’s Control, has gone gold ahead of its September 24 digital release.
Control Resonant follows Dylan Faden, the paranatural brother of Jesse, the first game’s protagonist, as he battles an invasion of hostile entities while searching for his estranged sister. The game is set in a distorted version of downtown Manhattan and has a huge focus on action role-playing elements as well as melee combat.
To deliver a little bit of bad news along with the good, they also noted that the game’s physical release date would be delayed to October 15.
