UPDATE: Rebel Wolves has now confirmed that The Blood Of Dawnwalker will now get a performance mode targeting 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X with PS5 Pro also providing extra visual enhancements.

In a statement posted on X, the company said: “On Friday, we answered your questions about console performance with what we knew we could confidently deliver at launch. Performance Mode was already in the works, but it was still being tested. We simply weren’t ready to promise it yet. We heard your feedback. It was clear how much this mattered to many of you, so we focused on finishing the next round of tests. Those results gave us the confidence we needed to confirm Performance Mode for Day 1.”
ORIGINAL STORY: Rebel Wolves, in partnership with publisher Bandai Namco, have published gameplay footage of their upcoming vampire-led action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker, which seems to confirm the omission of a 60 frames per second mode at launch for consoles.
The title, the studio’s first, is expected to offer a Quality Mode, which targets 30fps at 4K, and a Balanced Mode, which targets 40fps at dynamic 4K.
Even the PlayStation 5 Pro will target the same frame rates and dynamic resolutions, albeit with an “enhanced visual quality” noticeable across both modes.

The Blood of Dawnwalker releases for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S next month on September 3. Amazon has the lowest price at $99, including free delivery.
