A longstanding tradition since Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Challenge Board is a set of achievements (or trophies, if you will) that unlock goodies for players to use. If you’re a little bit less patient, you can use the rare Golden Hammer to unlock the Challenge straight away without fulfilling it’s requirements. Super neat!
With around 120 or more Challenges, you’ll never have enough Golden Hammers to unlock every single one, however, so you’ll have to make choices as to which panels you want to skip the queue on. The kicker is that there’s no way to tell which Challenge unlocks what until you’ve spent your precious Golden Hammer. That’s why we’re here to help!
Perhaps you want to make sure you’ve already unlocked all the music, or just want to have the most parts to dress up your Mii Fighters with or even just wanting a quick hit of currency to spend – there’s many a reason why you might want to skip your way through some of these challenges.
For example, on the first entry of our guide, you’ll see that smashing the Bayonetta panel on the SMASH board will reward you with 800 Gold.
Obviously, we are not including the actual unlock requirements here – those are presented on the board itself. Instead, we’re just presenting the quickest way to identify which tiles reward what surprises when you smash them.
Note that a very small amount of these panels can’t be smashed, thought these are mainly tied to World of Light completion. Still, we’ve included them anyway just so you can see what you’re getting yourself into.
