Act Surprised! Ori And The Blind Forest Is Coming To Nintendo Switch This Year Without Compromise

Developer Moon Studios and publisher Xbox Game Studios (yes, you read right) has announced this morning that Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this year. Surprising nobody given the numerous rumours, the game follows Cuphead heading to the system earlier this year.

A representative for Moon Studios also confirmed that the game will run “without compromise” at a full 1080p/60fps when docked and 720p/60fps when undocked. You can even earn achievements!

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition includes the original game includes a myriad of improvements to the gameplay as well as a new area to explore and new power for Ori to use. It is one of the best games available on the Xbox One, and without a doubt one of the most beautiful. We loved it in our original review four years ago too.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will be available for Nintendo Switch on September 27th via the eShop.

If you really can’t wait, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is also available right now on Xbox One and is also available through Game Pass.

No word yet on whether February’s sequel, Ori and the Will Of The Wisps will be heading to Switch as well, but we’ll keep you updated.
