Australian Nintendo Switch Stock Looks To Be Running Out

Our friends over at Vooks reported on the fact that Nintendo Switch consoles (the new edition of the regular version and not the Lite), look to be drying up in Australia.

We’ve had a look into it and stock levels are definitely drying up. Speaking to EB Games and JB Hi-Fi employees, we confirmed that stock had been depleting over the last few weeks, but they’re expecting more to hit Australia in April.

Currently, EB Games won’t ship you a Nintendo Switch as it appears that their distribution centre is out of stock. The Neon console is out of stock at most metro Melbourne stores, with the Grey version not far behind it.

JB Hi-Fi says that it is awaiting stock of the Neon Nintendo Switch console and have extremely limited stock of the Grey version. They have the statement on their website: “Due to very high demand, the Nintendo Switch Neon Console is currently unavailable to purchase online. Next stock is due to arrive in April.”

Looking at Amazon, they still have stock of the Grey version of the Nintendo Switch console (you can grab it HERE), but the Neon version is completely sold out.

Obviously, stock was always going to run out in Australia. It’s not perfect timing with Animal Crossing later this week, but you’d hope that the majority of hardcore fans would already have a Nintendo Switch, and if not, hopefully the Nintendo Switch Lite is to their taste, as they could be waiting some weeks for stock to be available again.

If you are picking up Animal Crossing: New Horizons later this week, you can find our bargain guide for the game right HERE. It’s going to be interesting times for games over the next few weeks and it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
