Nintendo Switch Games Are Still Selling Ridiculously Well

Nintendo has updated their financial figures as of June 30th, revealing that the Nintendo Switch has now sold 61.44 million units. However, it’s the first-party software sales that are absolutely mind-blowing.

The biggest number is Animal Crossing: New Horizons which has sold 22.4 million copies. For context, this is now more than Super Smash Bros Ultimate (19.99m) and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (18.6m). It’s also not too far behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which is currently sitting at 26.74 million units.

The other big sellers are Super Mario Party which is just below 11m copies sold (which is absolutely insane considering it’s never received any downloadable content since launch). New entries into the one million selling club are Clubhouse Games (1.03m units) and Xenoblade Chronicles DE (1.32m units).

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are up to 18.22 million units which puts it in third place of all-time best-selling Pokemon games. It’sd behind Red/Green/Blue (which sits at about 31 million units) and Gold/Silver (at about 23 million units).
