Nintendo has just stealth dropped another announcement. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a new Zelda game set in the world of Breath of the Wild and it’s releasing on November 20th for Nintendo Switch. The game is a prequel and set 100 years before Breath of the Wild’s story.
The game will have us playing as characters such as Link, Zelda and more against hordes of enemies from the Breath of the Wild game. You’ll be battling enemies such as Bokoblins and Lynels. The game will also teach us more about the four champions throughout cutscenes that have a similar art style to Breath of the Wild.
In the six minute video that announced the game, Nintendo said that they were still hard at work with Breath of the Wild 2, and that we’d hear more about this soon.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity combines action-packed gameplay with the rich landscapes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to create a new and exciting experience:
Bring a friend into battle with you on one Nintendo Switch and take on Calamity Ganon as a team. Fight side-by-side or divide your efforts to cover more ground, complete objectives or defeat the forces of darkness.
Play right away at midnight on November 20th, 2020 and receive up to 400 (AU) / 450 (NZ) Gold Points when you pre-purchase Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity from Nintendo eShop or via this gamepage. You will also get the Lucky Ladle as an in-game bonus weapon for Link.
