The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack launches today bringing with it Nintendo 64 + SEGA Mega Drive games as well as a new tier that will bring full expansions such as the Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise DLC.
UPDATE: The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack has now launched.
We know for sure that it’s hitting today (Tuesday) but an exact time hasn’t been given yet. We know that the Nintendo Switch Online service will be offline for maintenance from 10:00am AEDT to 1pm AEDT today so it seems likely that it’ll be live somewhere near 1pm AEDT (maybe a little bit before or after).
Nintendo Switch Update 13.1.0 has just dropped and you’ll need to update your system before you can get access to the Expansion Pack once that’s live later today.
The Nintendo Switch Expansion Pack is only available in a 12 month subscription. It’ll set you back $59.95 AUD for 12 months for a single user or $109.95 for a Family Membership. If you’re an existing Nintendo Switch Online member, you’ll be charged pro rata for the difference depending on how much of your Nintendo Switch Online membership that you have left.
So far, we know that the Nintendo Switch Expansion Pass will bring the below goodies:
It’s unclear at this point if other Nintendo games will get major DLC included in the Nintendo Switch Expansion Pack, but obviously we’ll let you know if any are announced.
