Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom’s 1.2.0 Update Is Out And Adds A New Way To Obtain Items

Extras, if you read all about it!

Nintendo has just dropped a new update for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which brings the game up to version 1.2.0

The update introduces a number of fixes for various issues in the game, including fixings some progression bugs and generally improving the gameplay experience.

More interesting though, is the update adds the ability to obtain new items in-game by booting it from articles viewed through a specific Switch News channel on the Switch console’s HOME Menu. The game’s predecessor, Breath of the Wild, did something similar after its 1.3.1 update, where a channel titled Tips From The Wild would provide players with basic guides to the game and drop relevant items if players booted Breath of the Wild from the articles.

The update also reportedly nixes the “frozen meat glitch” that players had been using to rack up serious bank, so I guess Hyrule’s frozen meat bubble has burst (ew).
