Disney Lorcana’s highly anticipated and latest set, Wilds Unknown, is now available across Australia – and with it not only comes new fan-favourite franchises, but we also finally get some exclusive accessories here down under.
Wilds Unknown tells a tale of treacherous terrains and undiscovered landscapes that brave glimmers of all shapes and plastics must traverse together to uncover that latest mysterious within the Lorcana world. Like every new set, fans of the trading card game can dive in heads first into a broad range of products to satisfy their dopamine cravings and shiny card needs. Thanks to Ravensburger and Disney, we got our hands on some of these wild products available to players this set, including one of the exclusive playmats now available in Australia.
First up – just in case you were desperate to grab one of these before they are sold out – the playmat available is the Wilds Unknown Rapunzel – High Climber playmat, and is available exclusively to the Ravensburger online store. Lorcana fans can purchase this playmat right now via the Ravensburger online store for $35.99 AUD. This mat is not one of the standard set launch playmats (this set’s is Mirada from Brave and Super Goofy) you can find anywhere – so once it sells out it will be very hard to get. It’s an absolutely beautiful illustration by Alice Pisoni displayed on the mat, showcasing the Dreamborn, legendary variation of Rapunzel in the game.

What we also got our hands on was 6 booster packs (RRP $9.95 AUD each) of the new Wilds Unknown set, alongside the fan-favourite Illumineer’s Trove (RRP $99.99 AUD). If you’re new to the game, the Illumineer’s Trove is a perfect launch product for newcomers (as well as veterans) to kick start their journey into the world of Lorcana. It comes with 8 booster packs – giving plenty of exciting pack ripping moments, a lore counter and 6 damage dice – perfectly suited to jump into a game and learn the fun, as well as 6 card dividers and the box itself – the dynamic duo in helping players keep their cards stored, safe and organised. We unboxed the Trove to check out the new Wilds Unknown art, aesthetics and fun within this little bundle this time around, and it is looking real slick – check it out below:
From our pack openings one thing became abundantly clear, Ravensburger has seemed to have upped the pull rates this time around. This means that the higher rarity cards such as legendaries, epics, enchanteds and iconics are seeming to be found a lot more within packs – really pumping players and collectors with adrenaline this set. And what a better time to do so, then when three popular franchises have made their way into the game. This is the first Lorcana set where Pixar characters are now available, with Wilds Unknown introducing characters from Brave, Toy Story and The Incredibles. Our resident Lorcana fanatic, Jake, was able to pull an Enchanted Mrs Incredible during release weekend, but other fans may be lucky enough to pull other popular characters like Mr Incredible and Syndrome, Jessie and Aliens from Toy Story as the shiny Enchanteds this set – or go even further with the luck and pull the ultimate chase cards that are the Iconic Buzz Lightyear or Mirada.

Whatever players end up pulling from their packs, troves or boxes, it’s clear Wilds Unknown is a great set to get into. With such popular and highly anticipated franchises hitting the game, pull rates bringing smiles to everyone’s faces, new deck mechanics to try and dominate gameplay with (like Toys, Supers and more), as well as exclusive products hitting our shores – what better time to join the Disney TCG fun.
If you’re interested in getting into Disney Lorcana, be sure to check in with a local game store near you and ask about Learn To Play sessions or when their weekly league night is – the community is great and welcoming to new players!
