It’s been a while since we had a major Nintendo Switch System Update, but Nintendo has done just that updating the Switch to version 19.0.0 today.
Unfortunately, whilst a full number jump normally brings new features, this one does not, instead just bringing stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.

Whilst there’s probably some improvements behind the scenes to make the likes of firmware tampering even harder, we probably won’t know exactly what that looks like for days to come.
Similarly, with the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement nearing closer and closer with each passing day, it seems unlikely that we’ll get any major updates fromthis point onwards.
