With everybody talking about the Xbox Series X and PS5, I feel like the announcement of the Oculus Quest 2 as well as the fact that it’s out this week has been largely forgotten about. The Oculus Quest was one of my favourite devices of the last few years, due to the fact that it doesn’t need any kind of PC or wires attached to play the large majority of VR games available.
The Oculus Quest 2 is even more appealing due to the fact that it’s $200 cheaper than the original Oculus (which was still a great deal in my opinion) and it’s better in pretty much every way. A bunch of new games were announced too including a Jurassic World game, Medal of Honor, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Assassin’s Creed VR, Splinter Cell VR and a Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge experience.
The Oculus Quest 2 releases on October 13th for $479 (64GB) and $639 (256GB) respectively. There’s also a bunch of accessories which you can find HERE.
If you’re new to the word of Oculus Quest, these are the games that I’ve played over the last few years and absolutely loved. They’re all must-plays in my books:
