Well, this isn’t something that I spotted in my play through but a YouTuber by the name of ‘YongYea’ has discovered a small, but pretty cool Death Stranding/Kojima Productions Easter egg in Horizon Zero Dawn.
There’s a collectible in the game in which the thumbnail is the logo of Kojima Productions.
Further to this, the description for the item reads:
“This object is valid only for curious merchants. Six blocks of oxidised metal twisted from one cable”.
Now interestedly enough, this necklace belongs to the character that Norman Reedus plays in Death Stranding.
Kojima’s Death Stranding is using the same engine as Horizon Zero Dawn, called the Decima engine.

Does this mean that death stranding is in the same universe as Horizon Zero Dawn?
LOL, noooo not at all. It was announced a while ago that Kojima would be using Guerilla's engine for Death Stranding. And if it's the same engine Horizon's using, WOWZERS!

Oh yeah I know about that. But what it describes is the exact same thing that Norman Reedus was wearing in the very first Death Stranding trailer.
Ho. Lee. Sh1tb@lls. I did not think of that !
And with the suggestion of "mirror universe", alt-timelines etc., hinted at in DS, that's not completely out of the question ! Unlikely, but still a delicious possibility ! :)
See comment above! But who knows??
Great to hear! It could be an alternative timeline though since in death stranding, it seems we are going to fight Ww2 soldiers?
