Rugby League Live 4 Revealed For PS4/Xbox One And It Looks Bloody Great

Big Ant and HES have just lifted the lid on Rugby League Live 4 which is scheduled to release in 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The first screenshots below show a massive step up from the last Rugby League game that released on both PS4 and Xbox One.

HES Managing Director, Sebastian Giompaolo has made the below comments about the upcoming title:

“Rugby League Live 4 continues to build on solid foundations with new features including custom Logo and Stadium Creation, and the most realistic NRL player likenesses ever featured in a game,” said Mr Sebastian Giompaolo of HES.

“Big Ant Studios have taken the game to a whole new level, not just visually, but also with exciting gameplay and tactical improvements.

“A greater attention to the finer details and intricacies of the sport, along with precise refinements to the controls, and even more depth to the career mode, will help make this the best Rugby League video game to date.”

Honestly, there were some disappointing aspects to Rugby League Live 3, but hopefully this game rectifies these problems. It’s off to a great start with what looks like improved graphics.

    • When the market for Rugby League exceeds 300 million people. I don't get how people don't get that EA just have zero interest in making game for niche sports like NRL, AFL or even Union.

  • I have to admit that I can't trust Big Ant after the way they handled DBC 17. Really disappointed. It took them 3 months from release to get the game right. Hopefully this will be different. If not I will pick it up 3 or 4 months after release thank you very much.

    • Big Ant have their own company made game engine hence the better graphics, better animations, etc. Wicked Witch have been given Sidhe's old game engine (who made Rugby League 1,2,3 before Big Ant took the rights) and will need to learn how to use it to its best, this will take time.
