Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Has Sold An Insane Amount Of Copies

Our favourite analyst (ZhugeEX) has revealed that The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has sold over 2.5 million units worldwide. This is across both digital and physical units. Obviously, the game is only available on PlayStation 4 and it can be assumed that it’ll push a serious amount of units throughout the holiday period.

It’s heavily rumoured that the game will come to Xbox One and potentially Nintendo Switch at some point, but it’s not clear how long PlayStation have exclusivity for.

In Australia, the game has been number one more times in 2017 than any other game, which is pretty impressive considering it’s a remastered collection of three PS1 games that released 20 years ago.

It’ll be interesting to see if Activision let the series rest, whether they remaster more games or create an entirely new Crash Bandicoot adventure. It’s clear that whichever way they go, it’ll most certainly be a success.

  • I love these remasters and hoping they do more. I'd love to see games such as Spyro the Dragon, Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire 1-4 Series, Phantasy Star 1-4 series, Burnout Takedown or Revenge and many others. The big heads in these companies need to realize that old successful games remastered will continue to be successful and they allow the player to replay an old favorite with modern graphics further heightening their love for that series. Old series shouldn't die, they should be brought back and some gamers need to stop complaining about the remasters, I personally prefer to play them with the modern graphics than go back to the PS1 versions.
