Rockstar has announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 online will launch in beta tonight. It’ll launch at roughly 11:30pm (AEDT) and will begin with those who purchased (and have installed) the Ultimate Edition. Rockstar will continually let more and more people into the servers up until Saturday when everyone will have access.
Rockstar still hasn’t gone into detail about what we can expect in Red Dead Online, but they’ve said that it’s a vibrant open world that transforms the vast and detailed landscapes into a new, living online world that is ready to be shared by multiple players. You’ll be able to ride the world solo or with friends (up to seven other players) and battle enemy gangs, go fishing or just hang around the world.
Full rollout details are as follows:
The Red Dead Online Beta will be available to anyone who owns Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One starting Friday, November 30. When booting up Red Dead Redemption 2 and arriving to the title menu, you will see an option in the top right of the screen to select Online.
