Mick Gordon, the Australian composer and sound designer for a great number of Bethesda titles including Doom and Prey, is calling on people everywhere to join his choir of heavy metal screamers for a project that might or might not be the upcoming sequel to Doom, Doom Eternal.
Now, this isn’t a competition to be won, though there is an application process involved which requires your name, email and an ‘awesome demo’ which shows off your ability to scream like a metal frontman. The only catch is that if you’re selected to join the choir, you’d have to fund your own trip to Austin, Texas for recording during the first week of March.
In his casting call, Gordon declares that this isn’t just a free gig. You will be paid, though the amount is unspecified. Not only will you net yourself a little bit of coin, but you’ll also receive a credit on whatever project it’s for.
Gordon is clearly looking to do something that has never been done before, which is cool in itself. The deadline for demo submissions is on February 1, which gives you plenty of time to get your growls up to scratch.
If you’re interested in or want to learn more about the opportunity, Mick is taking applications here.
