Tonight at The Game Awards the Game of the Year was crowned at the end of the ceremony.
The nominees were as follows:

- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- The Outer Worlds
Ultimate, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was crowned as the Game Of The Year for 2019.
