After initially launching for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers five years ago, it’s been announced that Rocket League is going free to play permanently. It’s set to become free at sometime this Winter.
The core game will stay the same but main menus will be changed and tournaments/challenges will be improved. The game is also getting cross-platform progression. Rocket League is also heading to the Epic Games Store which means that it will be removed from Steam.
Anybody who has played Rocket League online before it going free-to-play will get the below:
-
All Rocket League-branded DLC released before free to play
-
“Est. 20XX” title that displays the first year you played Rocket League
-
200+ Common items upgraded to “Legacy” quality
-
