The long-awaited Marvel’s Avengers Beta finally starts this weekend. We were lucky enough to go hands-on with the content last ween and you can find our thoughts HERE.
HOW AND WHEN TO ACCESS THE BETA
Basically, the beta will take place in three waves. The first weekend will be for those that pre-ordered on PlayStation 4, the second weekend will for all PS4 owners and those that pre-ordered on Xbox One and PC and the third weekend will be for anyone and everyone that wants to play on any platform.
The beta starts at 9pm and ends at 9pm for all respective dates.
- August 7th-9th- PlayStation 4 Pre-Order Beta
- August 14th-16th Xbox One and PC Pre-Order / PlayStation 4 Open Beta
- August 21st-23rd – All Platforms Open Beta
WHAT CAN YOU PLAY IN THE BETA
During the beta, you’ll be able to ply as Iron Man, Kamala Khan, Black Widow and the Hulk.
The beta will let you play through the Golden Gate mission which acts as a tutorial and lasts about 25 minutes in length.
After completing this mission, the War Table will open up giving you new single player missions before the game gives you Warzone missions (co-op or single player) missions that you can play with other friends online. There will be five Warzone missions, that it seems you’ll be able to play over and over again, in order to experience all characters and customise them as you see fit.
The beta will also bring Harm Rooms which are essentially virtual training grounds, which you can take on by yourself or with friends. There will be three in total, with you being able to customise your characters before taking on.
Beta drop zones are smaller versions of the Warzone missions with more focused missions and more about getting loot.
That’s all you need to know about Marvel’s Avengers beta. It looks like we’ll get a pretty large taste of the game before it launches on September 4th.
