Spider-Man (2018) is coming to PS5, but it’s currently unclear if those that own the PS4 version will get a free upgrade. Those that purchase the Spider-Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition (which is $124.95 RRP) will get the remaster included. It’s also worth mentioning that those that buy Spider-Man Miles Morales on PS4 (yes, it’s coming to PS4 now), will get a free PS5 upgrade for that standalone adventure for free.
Announced on the stream earlier today, the PS5 version of the game isn’t just a simple increase in resolution. The game assets have been re-created to take advantage of the PS5’s horsepower, the game has ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows as well as improved lighting and the game will also have a 60 FPS Mode. The game will also have fast loading, take advantage of the DualSense’s haptic feedback and utilise 3D audio.
