Crash Bandicoot 4 Has Two Couch Co-Op Multiplayer Modes

We’re only days away from the highly anticipated launch of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and as if we didn’t have enough reason to be excited about the new title, IGN has just revealed that the game will have co-op and competitive multiplayer modes on launch

These modes are local-multiplayer only and can be enjoyed by 2-4 players on the same console, with the third and fourth players assuming the roles of Fake Crash and Fake Coco (in her debut) respectively.

CO-OP MULTIPLAYER

In co-op mode, pals can team-up and take turns to play through any of the game’s levels in normal or N.verted mode which uses visual filters and game-altering mechanics to offer a unique challenge to even the most seasoned Crash players.

COMPETITIVE MULTIPLAYER

Checkpoint Race; a competitive marathon that pits players against one another, racing to set the fastest time in each level from checkpoint to checkpoint. If you have the fastest time at any given checkpoint, you win that checkpoint and the player with the most checkpoints tallied up at the end of the level wins overall.

Crate Combo; race through a level of your choice smashing as many crates as you can to rack up your combo multiplier to achieve the highest score. You’ve got to go fast to keep your combo streak from resetting and the player with the highest score at the end of the level wins.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time launches this Friday on October 2nd, 2020 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
