It’s been well-known for quite some time now that the PS5 would need an adaptor in order to be compatible with PlayStation VR headset. This is due to the fact that the camera uses an input not on the PS5 (and the PS5 camera doesn’t work with PlayStation VR).
If you’re a PlayStation VR owner wanting to use PlayStation VR headset with your PS5, you’ll need to head to this link and fill out this form, providing Sony with your PlayStation VR processor unit serial number. Sony will then send you out an adaptor for free.
It’s unclear when they’ll be shipped, but hopefully it’ll be in the near future given the PlayStation 5 is only a couple of weeks from releasing.
