Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time’s next-gen upgrade has hit for PS5 and Xbox Series X owners.
Unlike other Activison games, those that own the PS4/Xbox One version of the game will be able to upgrade to the PS5/Xbox Series X version for free and carry their saves over.
Just as a reminder, the game will run at native 4K/60FPS on PS5/Xbox Series X, the PS5 version takes advantage of adaptive triggers and activity cards and the load times have been improved dramatically.
It now takes about 9 seconds to load a level on PS5, in comparison to 48 seconds on the PS4 Pro, and it’ll take about 10 seconds to reload a level vs about 38 seconds on the PS4 Pro. Dying and respawning is now almost instant.
The game is almost half of the size on PS5 at least too, coming in at just over at tad over 20GB in comparison to well over 40GB for the PS4 version.
