The First Hot Wheels Unleashed Gameplay Has Arrived And It Looks Pretty Hectic

Although it looks like an interactive advert for the line of children’s toys, Hot Wheels Unleashed looks like a far better racing game than it has business being.

First gameplay released for the game shows a pretty capable, hectic racing game set on the infamous, flimsy orange plastic tracks, constructed in a variety of real world settings.

The first part of the trailer looks as though the track weaves in and out of garage racking.

Beyond that, the game includes all of the staples that make racing games unpredictable from environmental hazards like giant spiders that catch racers with their web, boost wells, shortcuts and power-ups.

The game is developed by Milestone, who are the team behind both the MotoGP and Ride series, so it’s clear they’re no stranger to developing racing titles.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is expected to launch on September 30 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
