Following last week’s closed beta, this weekend, the Back 4 Blood beta will be open to anyone with an Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. You’re able to play with up to three mates and there’s cross-play in the beta as well, so it doesn’t matter what platform they’re on.
WHEN DOES THE BACK 4 BLOOD OPEN BETA START AND END?
You’ll be able to play the Back 4 Blood Open Beta from 5am Friday, August 13th until 5am Tuesday, August 17th, so there’s a great amount of time to download and jump in. You can get ready and download the beta at the below links:
WHAT CONTENT DOES THE BACK 4 BLOOD OPEN BETA CONTAIN?
Back 4 Blood is the latest game from Turtle Rock which is the team that created Left 4 Dead so things will feel familiar right off the bat. The beta provides a really good amount of content that you can play through including two co-op campaign missions From Act 1 that allow you to see a good variety of locations and enemies. You can mix and match between the available characters for a number of different weapons and abilities.
There’s also the PvP Swarm Mode where two squads of four face off in a best-of-three series of rounds swapping between playing as the Cleaners and the Ridden. During the open beta there’s two maps to play through in the Swarm mode and a good amount of different Ridden characters to try out.
You’re also able to check out the all-new rogue-lite Card System mechanic which creates different experiences every time you play, allows you to build custom decks, equip special skills to your characters and also engage map mechanics that change the way that you play. You’re also able to explore Fort Hope to take aim in the shooting range, or hang out with your squad mates.
THE CHEAPEST PRICE TO PRE-ORDER BACK 4 BLOOD
Currently, all pre-orders of Back 4 Blood will include the Fort Hope Elite weapon skin pack which includes the M4 Carbine Rifle, Uzi SMG, 870 Express Shotgun and RPK LMG. The game releases on October 12th on current-gen and next-gen consoles as well as PC.
Whilst Back 4 Blood will be on Xbox Game Pass at launch come October 12th, Amazon has the cheapest physical pre-order price and pre-ordering the EB Games Special Edition will get you a steel case as well as a double-sided poster.
