Elden Ring Will Have Ray Tracing And Performance/Quality Modes On Console

Thanks to a product information page on Bandai Namco’s website, we now know a little more about Elden Ring’s graphical options on console and PC, including ray tracing and performance details.

The game will support up to 4K resolution on the newest generation of PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and up to 60fps framerate, depending on players’ choice of either a Performance or Resolution priority mode as detailed below:

Performance mode

  • Performance priority mode: adjusts screen resolution and load balancer to approach 60 FPS.
  • Resolution priority mode: load balance functions at a fixed max resolution, with a lower limit of 30 FPS.
  • There are differences in the display of grass and other ground objects depending on the console.

The game will also feature ray tracing support on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC via a patch that will presumably come at launch or close to.
