Swedish indie publishing powerhouse, Thunderful, had its inaugural Thunderful World livestream presentation this week with plenty of announcements for new titles, updates on previously announced games as well as new homes for already-released ones.
The event was even hosted by none other than Mark Hamill!

The biggest announcement of the show – the next game in the SteamWorld series! The robotic western saga gets its very first 3D entry in this co-op action adventure that follows on from the events of SteamWorld Dig 2. The teaser trailer shows very little, but it’s hard to not get excited. No release date or platform confirmations on this one just yet.
Image & Form’s stunning, slimy sci-fi adventure gets a brand-new look – and a release date! The game will take players on a journey in a beautiful planet taken over by a nasty parasitic substance. The Gunk is coming very soon, hitting Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Game Pass on December 16, 2021.
A black-and-white side-scrolling adventure in a steampunk world ruled over by sinister rats. This one’s coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on December 7, 2021!
Togges is a 3D puzzle-platformer starring a Roomba-like robot in a colourful and magical world. It’s coming to PC and consoles in 2022.
Out now on Stadia of all things, Wavetale is a stylised, aquatic adventure with high-flying acrobatics and an incredibly gorgeous and mysterious world. The game will also come to PC and console platforms in the future.
Planet of Lana
A new look at the beautiful side-scrolling sci-fi journey starring a young girl in post-civilisation world. This game about friendship and discovery is coming to Xbox and PC in 2022.
Thunderful has announced that Industria, the surreal and atmospheric FPS that released on PC this year, is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2022.
The auto-running sequel to uber-difficult 2D platformer Super Meat Boy is headed to mobiles soon!
Cursed To Golf
A new trailer for Cursed To Golf shows off the pixelated, golf purgatory adventure that takes place across 18 dungeon-like holes. The trailer is a great explainer for this quirky, punishing take on the sport. It’s headed to PC and Switch next year.
Laika: Aged Through Blood
Laika: Aged Through Blood is a comic book-styled, self-proclaimed “Motorvania”. As a gun-toting coyote, you’ll explore a treacherous desertpunk world on your dirt bike. This one’s coming to PC and console at some point in the future!
Play as an adorable demon named Nate on a quest to make a birthday treat for the Lord of the Underworld. Tethered to a cherub sidekick named Nugget, you’ll run, jump and shoot through a twisted world in this 3D platformer coming to PC and consoles soon.
With a combination of pixel art characters and 3D environments, this slick-looking roguelike where you’ll “hack and splash” your way through challenging environments using your trusty axe and water-jet-pack-thingy. Also coming to PC and consoles soon.
Crowns And Pawns
A modern-day point and click adventure about a mysterious inheritance that leads Milda on an unexpected journey into history and myths. Coming to PC soon.
A roguelike at breakneck speed that combines arcade and tactical gameplay. Manoeuvre a ship and evade an onslaught of lasers and explosions to win through defence! Coming to PC and consoles.
An isometric pixelated sandbox RPG playable alone or with friends in a magical land full of loot, mystery and danger. Tinkertown is currently in Early Access on PC.
Source Of Madness
A side-scrolling Lovecraftian action roguelike in a procedurally-generated world that uses AI machine learning to build the world and monsters of your nightmares. Source of Madness is in Early Access on PC.
