Activision has announced that the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is happening this weekend.
HOW TO GET ACCESS TO THE CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 BETA
This is where it starts to get a bit complicated. The way to get access to all of the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 beta dates as early as possible and for the longest time possible is to pre-order the game. The cheapest way do that is on Amazon HERE for $78 with free shipping. If you’re not wanting to pre-order, we’re also giving away codes HERE.
The first weekend (September 17th-20th) is available exclusively to PS5/PS4 users who have have pre-ordered the game, but those who haven’t will be able to get access in the final 24 hours (19th/20th). All PS5/PS4 users will be able to access the beta on the second weekend (September 23rd-26th) even if they haven’t pre-ordered.
Those playing on Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/PC who have pre-ordered will be able to access the second weekend (September 23rd-26th). Everybody on all platforms will be able to play the beta from September 25th until 26th.

Those playing the beta on PlayStation do not need to have a PlayStation Plus subscription but for those on Xbox, you do need an Xbox Live Gold subscription. Those on PC need a Battlenet or Steam account.

- Saturday September 17th at 3am AEST until Tuesday September 20th: PS5/PS4 owners who have pre-ordered the game.
- Monday September 19th at 3am until Tuesday September 20th: All PS5/PS4 owners (no pre-order necessary)
- Beta weekend 2 –
- Friday September 23rd at 3am AEST until Monday September 26th: All PS4/PS5 owners (no pre-order needed) and Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/PC owners who have pre-ordered the game
- Sunday September 25th at 3am until Monday, September 26th: All console/OC owners (no pre-order necessary)

Activision has said that the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 beat will feature a robust showing of core 6v6 modes with an emphasis on showing the Marina Bay Grand Prix map. The first weekend is PlayStation exclusive whilst the second weekend will allow cross-play between all platforms.
