Halo Studios Has Been Impacted By Layoffs Following The Launch Of Halo: Campaign Evolved

Reset, indeed!

As part of the ongoing Xbox reset, which is set to trim 3,200 jobs from the business over the course of the next twelve months, Halo Studios has been impacted by a small round of layoffs fresh on the heels of Halo: Campaign Evolved’s release last month.

After a considerably successful launch, full of mostly positive reviews and about a million units shipped according to best estimates, Insider Gaming has noted a number of Halo Studios alum taking to LinkedIn to confirm their departures from the studio.

Among them are producer Nick Treitman and “Scrum Master” Paul Morris, who had been long-term contracted employees with the studio. Caleb Lawrence, a software engineer at the studio, has also updated his working status to “open for work.”

Xbox had previously culled 1,600 jobs from its stable upon the announcement of its big reset, and these cuts are likely the beginning of a long drawn-out blood-letting as the remaining 1,600 will continue to be informed over the coming several months.
