Naughty Dog Has Shared New Art For The Last Of Us Multiplayer Game As The Franchise Hits A Sales Milestone

Naughty Dog is kicking off 2023 in expected fashion – by drip feeding fans more concept art for its long-gestating standalone The Last of Us multiplayer game.

In a new blog post, Naughty Dog Co-President and The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann looks ahead to the series’ 10th anniversary coming up in June 2023 as well as celebrating a major sales milestone with the franchise selling through more than 37 million copies worldwide as of December 2022.

Druckmann describes the coming year as “busy” for The Last of Us, with HBO’s TV adaptation premiering on January 15th, the PC release of last year’s The Last of Us Part I coming on March 3rd, more details on the multiplayer title and some other “fun surprises” to come.

Give the post a read here. Though it’s light on any new, concrete details it’s quite impressive to see how far this franchise has come in just 10 years, and it does have that saucy new multiplayer concept art showing a beached and dilapidated cruise ship (you can see at least one cruise ship in the distance of the previous bit of concept art, perhaps the same one in a big, open map?)

Or, look at that below:
