LEGO 2K Drive Is An Open World Racing Adventure That’s Coming Surprisingly Soon

Nuts & Bricks

After its existence leaked earlier in the week, LEGO, 2K and developer Visual Concepts have officially lifted the lid on LEGO 2K Drive, an open-world “driving adventure” game that’s launching sooner than you might have thought.

Headed to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC as soon as May 19th (we love a short announcement-to-release timeline!), LEGO 2K Drive will reportedly be a deep, AAA experience bringing the LEGO world to life with stunning visuals and unique racing gameplay.

It’s set to feature a vast, open world for players to explore with numerous, unique areas to drive through, races, collectibles to find, things to destroy, recognisable LEGO vehicles, minigames and challenges to overcome on the way to be the winner of the coveted Sky Cup trophy. Races will be high-octane events with plenty of power-ups to keep things interesting as players race AI opponents or dive into both cooperative and competitive local and online multiplayer.

Of course, being LEGO it’s also got some great-looking customisation options on offer, including over 1000 unique LEGO pieces to find and unlock through the adventure and use to create custom vehicles – which is something I’m very here for. It’s basically Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, but LEGO.
