EA and Respawn Entertainment have announced a huge update coming to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor today that adds some much-requested improvements to the game on consoles along with a bunch of general fixes and tweaks.
The headline bit of news from this newest patch is that the “Performance” visual option in the game has been completely reworked to disable ray-tracing, resulting in a solid 60FPS framerate as opposed to the wildly-inconsistent performance players have had to deal with to this point. Quality Mode has apparently also been improved to be more stable, and the PS5 version of the game now has support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for those with compatible displays.
It’s great news for anyone that’s been holding off playing the game on console until these things were fixed, and with versions on the way for the last generation of PlayStation and Xbox it’s good to know there’s still plenty of performance wiggle room.
