PlayStation has dropped a new minor PS5 firmware update, adding and tweaking just a few things to make life easier for users.
One improvement that those of us who spend time regularly playing music while using their console will be thankful to see that the music interface within the control centre has been improved to allow for better selection of music direct from the control centre menu, and PS VR2 users can now opt to block the console from displaying their surroundings on the TV or external display, in case they don’t want the See-Through View being visible on-screen.
There’s also a new command added to voice controls, though these are still unavailable outside of the US and UK. Here’s the full update notes:
The most recent major PS5 update brought with it a number of exciting new features including 3D audio on external speakers via Dolby Atmos, larger capacity limits for additional SSD storage and an option to quieten or completely mute the console’s boot-up beep sound.
