Team Cherry dropped a two minute trailer for Hollow Knight: Silksong and revealed that it’s coming on September 4th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 1/2, PC and Xbox Game Pass too.
The trailer showed off a bunch of new footage from the game including new insectoid NPCs, as well as new enemies (there will be over 200 in the game), new bosses (over 40) and a bunch of new gameplay sequences that weren’t in the original game.
If you’re wanting to learn more about development about the game, Bloomberg have a really great in-depth piece about why it took so long to make, and really, there isn’t anything majorly scandalous, instead the team just said that they’re a small team and kept wanting to add and tweak which took time, but that they also enjoyed the entire process.
Team Cherry has also said that there won’t be early review copies out for this one, so we’ll all be playing it on the same time at September 4th.
