Marathon’s Release Date And Price Have Been Revealed Alongside Heaps Of Improvements

Bungie has today announced that Marathon is releasing in March 2026 with a price of $39.99 USD (~$60 AUD).

Further to this, the company has announced a host of improvements that have been made alongside over 20 minutes of new gameplay footage.

The updates include:

• Proximity chat, to make on-the-fly alliances – or break them – in the field
• Rook, our solo scavenger experience
• Solo Runner queue, so you can test yourself against Tau Ceti’s most challenging odds
• Updates to visual fidelity across the board, to further immerse you in the world

The visual upgrades are hugely evident in the trailer which can be seen above, and no doubt the game is in a better shape.
