It has been confirmed this morning that Pro Jank Footy, which I’ve been passionate about since playing it at PAX, will be launching in 2026 for all platforms.

While we didn’t get a firm release date for the upcoming chaotic footy game, we’ve been treated to a brand new gameplay trailer featuring a heap of the game’s bonkers modifier cards that can be played, including giant players, literal brick walls defending your goal, and portals that transport you across the field.

Pro Jank Footy is set to release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The game is inspired by the likes of NBA Jam, framing Australia’s beloved national sport through a very high-energy arcade lens. The game, which is naturally quite funny due to its zany action, also features commentary from Aunty Donna’s Broden Kelly, who also pulls double duty as a playable character in-game.

For those who are eager to get their hands on the game, a PC demo will be available for a limited time during the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which runs between February 23 and March 2.
