UPDATE:PlayStation Australia has confirmed with us the new prices for the PS5, PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal with price increases ranging from $60 to $200. Remarkably, the PS5 is now at $1,000 which is what the PS3 infamously launched at here in Australia.

These prices come into effect on April 2nd, so if you want to buy any of the below, you should do so this weekend and we’ve linked them below:

NEW PS5 PRICES IN AUSTRALIA

ORIGINAL STORY: PlayStation has announced that the PS5 (both disc/digital), PS5 Pro and the PlayStation Portal will be getting price increases globally starting from April 2nd. Whilst we don’t yet have new Australian prices, we know that all of these consoles will be going up globally ranging anywhere from ~$75 AUD to ~210 AUD.

NEW PLAYSTATION HARDWARE PRICES

  • PS5 (Disc) – $649.99 USD (~$915 AUD)

  • PS5 Digital Edition – $599.99 USD (~$845 AUD)

  • PS5 Pro – $899.99 USD (~$1,270 AUD)

  • PlayStation Portal – $249.99 USD (~$355 AUD)

We’ll let you know once we have exact new prices for the PS5 family here in Australia, but it’s very clear that there will be a sizeable increase based on what the new prices are across the world.
