PlayStation announced that it would move to an all digital model at the end of 2027 just a few weeks ago, and comments have been flooding its social media/YouTube accounts ever since with the latest Wolverine trailer an example of that with over 10,000 negative comments about physical discs, but the latest retail data suggests that people aren’t buying physical games.
Data from the US shows that only 7 PlayStation games have sold more than 100,000 physical copies in the US so far this year, with only 2 PlayStation games selling more than 10,000 units in the last week.

There’s obviously been a lot of unhappy people when it comes to physical discs going, but sadly it does seem to be how majority of consumers are spending, with the latest Black Ops digital drops being at the top of the charts, with million of copies sold digitally.
